Happy New Year to all! It is with great excitement that I accept the invitation to serve as the editor for Perspectives. I am honored by the support of my colleagues in SIG 13, Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders (Dysphagia) to have received this wonderful opportunity. I hope to continue to provide everyone with the quality articles that they have come to enjoy reading for continuing education and ideas to use in practice as all of those who have held the position before me have done. I am fortunate to continue to be able to work with my mentor and the previous editor, Donna Edwards, as I transition into this new position. This year's upcoming editions could not have been possible without the inspiration, experience, and dedication of the Editorial Committee including: Karen Ball, Neina Ferguson, Alice Inman, Paula Leslie, Georgia Malandracki, Emily Mayfield, Stefanie Moynahan, Justin Roe, and Aneesha Virani. I especially thank each and every author who volunteered their time to share their experience and passion for what we do everyday in evaluation and treatment in the area of dysphagia.
