After a delay, the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has released the 2003 Medicare fee schedule. This fee schedule applies 10 Medicare Part B outpatients, and is also applicable to inpatients who have exhausted Part A benefits. For a complete analysis of the 2003 Medicare fee schedule, visit the ASHA web site at http://professional.asha.org/resources/reimbursement/ MFS.index.cfm. Services provided on or after January 1st and before March 1st will be paid under the 2002 fee schedule. The fees for dysphagia services under the 2002 and 2003 fee schedules are reflected in Table 1 on page 3.
