The Newsletter Committee has been hard at work preparing this and upcoming issues of Perspectives. I would like to welcome several new members to the committee. They are Jane Mertz Garcia, Mary Bacon, Teresa Brobeck, and David Zirlen. Members remaining on the committee are Susan Brady, Martin Brodsky, Jacki Ruark McMurtrey, Joe Murray, and Catriona Steele.
The theme for this issue is the National Dysphagia Diet. Thank you to all of our authors for their excellent contributions to the newsletter. Themes for the remaining issues this year are Head and Neck Cancer (June), Pediatrics (October), and Evidence-Based Practice (December). The Newsletter Committee will have its annual planning call this summer at which time we will decide topics for next year’s issues. We value feedback we receive from division affiliates for each Perspectives issue, and we use this information to help decide on upcoming newsletter topics.
