Volunteers really do make a difference, as we could not publish such an outstanding quarterly newsletter without them. Many thanks to our Newsletter Commit-tee—Jacki Ruark, Cathy Pellitier, Cathy Lazarus, Claire Miller, Joe Murray, and Catriona Steele—for such commitment to this endeavor. Claire and Cathy Lazarus have stepped down from their positions and are replaced by Catriona and Joe. This new committee has already been hard at work for the issues to be published in 2004. Kudos to Therese O’Neil-Pirozzi for continuing to produce the high quality student abstracts section. A great way to get students involved in evidence-based evaluation and treatment of dysphagia is to have them critically review research, and to have that review published is, as we say in New Orleans, lagniappe— a little something extra. Nancy Swigert has made a wonderful contribution to the newsletter with her Dollars and Documentation column. Donna Lundy and Susan Hiss must be acknowledged for the outstanding work in obtaining and maintaining CE credit for Perspectives. Without their dedication, this benefit would not be possible.
