It is with pleasure and a great deal of enthusiasm that I serve as the Coordinator of Division 13, the specialty division with the largest number of affiliates from ASHA. That speaks to the need and commitment of our profession toward the provision of dysphagia services to those in need across the age spectrum and health care continuum. However, it is no surprise to our readers who provide these services in tumultuous health care arena that I face every day, our work is being exceedingly scrutinized and, in some cases, rejected by those who reimburse the health care providers.
