At last in paperback and at a very affordable price, a book that has been one of the most used books in my library since entering practice. This book has 396 pages containing everything that you need to know about Medical Speech Pathology and were afraid to ask, or didn't even consider asking while in class. It is especially handy for speech-language pathologists who did not have the advantage of the medical model for graduate training and find themselves in the very different role of the medical speech-language practitioner. This book was first published in 1990 by Aspen Publications, and it's re-release by the authors at this time makes it an important tool in enhancing a practice by providing additional services and the development of ancillary programs. The easy flowing style of both authors makes it simple to read and the extensive index and glossary make it the ultimate quick reference handbook for the speech-language pathologist in a medical setting. The material is so poignant as to remain a valuable resource well into the next millennium.
