This 2-day course includes intensive, one-on-one and small group competency training in the areas of adult dysphagia evaluation and treatment. Teaching media will include lecture and learning labs featuring CD ROM with PC workstations. Participants will be trained in dysphagia problem profile analysis and treatment techniques, including visual and tactile feedback methods. Competency will be measured through testing and observation of applied learning.
The instructional level is Intermediate. The course instructor is Bonnie Martin-Harris, PhD, and staff of the Evelyn Trammell Voice and Swallowing Center.
The course will be held October 13 and 14, 2000 in Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Atlanta, Georgia.
