The publication of Division 13's spring issue ran a bit later than I had hoped. I thought it only fair to share with the affiliates some of the reasons for the delay. One of the many hold-ups was my attempt to change the title from Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders to Don't Dys Me. I am afraid that Dr. Susan Langmore, our duly elected coordinator, dug in her heels and insisted that I hold to the higher standard. A compromise was reached. “Don't Dys Me” was thought to be more appropriate as the title for my editorial column. There was also the inevitable start-up and changeover problems. Then there were all the red pencil edits covering up my monitor, which made reading my email difficult. Finally, converting documents from Mac to IBM format crashed my computer, but at least that problem has been solved.
