Welcome to the first newsletter of 1997! Our editor, Cathy Lazarus, has prepared a full issue, which I hope you find interesting and useful. We are going to continue our “tradition,” started last year, of having regular features and feature editors for each newsletter. Your feedback indicates that these topics are relevant and are meeting your needs. However, we would really like to receive more letters from you. Each of our articles reflects one person's opinion or experience, and if your experience or perspective is different, why not share it with us? The affiliates of Division 13 represent a wide variety of settings, and certainly the politics, economics, ethical dilemmas, and clinical decisions must play out differently in these different settings. We can all learn from each other.
